Hi!

I am Konsta, I've lived my whole life around the Helsinki region. I studied Information Networks at Aalto University, and have spent the past 10 years as a software engineer across multiple companies. I have wide experience with different technology stacks and have worked in diverse teams of varying sizes and domains. I've had the responsibility to lead teams, but I'm most at home as a hands-on shovel man. Currently building Control.dev as CTO and Co-Founder.

Besides software engineering, I've been a taxi driver, a croupier at RAY (Finland's gambling monopoly), and a peacekeeper in Lebanon with the Finnish Defence Forces, along multiple other side hustles. Overall, I identify myself as a generalist problem solver.

Married to my wife, whom I met 11 years ago ❤️. We also have two dogs 🐕.

During my freetime I mostly do various outdoor things, such as cycling, trail running and hiking 🌲. Alternatively, I will hit the gym or study some new technologies.

Main project: Markowitz portfolio-optimization back-end service for private bankers, enabling real-time portfolio optimization with various constraints based on client risk tolerance. Built with AWS Lambda (Python/Chalice) integrated via .NET REST API with legacy systems. Also maintained legacy systems and produced reports for Finnish and global Tax Authorities (FATCA & CRS).
